When our bodies serve as our top priority, we believe that designing something as seemingly small as underwear can serve as a catalyst for anyone and everyone to comfortably talk about their bodies, health and identities.

Doctors and sexual health experts agree that 100% cotton underwear is the best choice for all women. Why? Because the vagina is a self-cleaning, anatomical powerhouse that has to function properly in order to stay healthy and to do that, it needs to breathe. Thank you, cotton! But also...100% cotton means we don't have to rely on synthetic elastic for a good fit. We took great care and attention in creating each style, testing hundreds of 100% cotton fabrics to find the perfect fine weave that naturally provides a 4-way stretch that recovers (read: doesn't stretch and sag after a day of wear).

The sheer, finely spun 100% organic pima cotton that's used in every pair of ODDO BODY underwear is imported from Peru, which is known for having the most idyllic cotton-growing conditions. We've built our supply chain through a Peru fair trade certified, family-run manufacturer and have had the pleasure of visiting our factories (also run by women) where our garments are cut and sewn, where the fabric is knit, and the farm where the organic cotton is grown.

We care about the impact our business decisions have on the environment. We've taken great care to use eco-friendly packaging solutions whenever possible—100% recycled and 100% recyclable mailers, plus 100% omni biodegradable underwear packaging. On top of that, our underwear itself is compostable since it’s 100% cotton (just cut out the elastic)!  We also minimize the use of unnecessary filler and paper receipts. As we grow, we'll seek to take even further steps in recyclable, compostable and renewable packaging so please stay tuned and also let us know if you yourself have any recommendations! You can also contact your local waste management, department of health, or EPA office for tips.
